Muskegon’s Full Moon Kayak Float Post Goes Viral
When you post on facebook you hope that people view. With over 26,000 shares and 2,000,000 views, Roger Zuidema of Muskegon Lake Effect Boating was stunned. “I love sharing and promoting water events around Muskegon and thought it was a no brainer, wasn’t expecting this type of response, but a real positive for Muskegon, as we continue to change perceptions, around the country” commented Zuidema.
Zuidema shared a poster for Muskegon’s Guy’s Ultimate Kayak Adventures led, Full Moon Float to be held summer of 2017, he didn’t expect these results. The 2 hour night float down the Muskegon River includes a kayak and glow stick and with just the right amount of adventure, the Floats have now sold out.
For 3 days straight, Guy answered many phone calls from as far away as Alabama and Florida. “The phone calls just keep coming in and soon all the Floats filled up, it was incredible, said Guy DeBor. Jeff Dana created a cool promotional poster and I was searching for ways to spread the news . This event is so much fun, with just the right amount of suspense and excitement - and who doesn’t like glow sticks”
A waiting list is being created for the Full Moon Floats. Guy, who leads Kayak Adventures all spring, summer and fall, is taking reservations for individuals and groups up to 22 for day and evening floats, give him a call at 231-740-0227.
Founding Ambassador Roger Zuidema shares and expresses his opinion on fun, development, preservation and Lake education. Enjoy.
